Kayaking (Sea)

We will be heading south to Folly Beach on Saturday morning and hittin’ the waves as soon as we get there. Surf kayaking is tons of fun, and if you’ve never done it, its pretty easy to learn. Its basically using the kayak as a surfboard. The weather (should) be warmer down there so beach lounging is definetely welcome! No experience needed, and this is a great way to get good at surfing… it carries over to river surfing. We will also make at least 1 trip into Charleston, which is an amazing city.
We will be camping out, so bring anything you would use while camping out… showers are available.
Right now I have the only car with a kayak rack, so the number is set pretty low. As soon as I get a person that has a car with a rack, I will increase the number, so if you have a rack, email me… and get on the waitlist if you want to go!
Outdoors at UVA provides:
kayak, kayaking gear, gas, lodging, sleeping bags, tents, stoves, everything else
You should bring:
clothes to get wet, normal clothes, money for lunches (if you go over the allotment) and money for Charleston. Also bring any beach supplies that you want… bring your musical instrument if you play anything.
