OVERVIEW

I thought that my dreams of bouldering using only snow for protection were futile, but we have been blessed with huge amounts of fluffy whiteness over the past couple weeks, so, and I say this without irony, let’s schralp some gnarl!

We’ll probably go on Sunday due to the climbing competition,ignoring the conflict with Valentine’s Day. (Your significant other will understand! Although, if most people want to go on Saturday, we’ll go Saturday.) The trip will probably take 2-3 hours.

Waitlist will increase as drivers sign up. 4WD preferred, although I expect the roads to be okay.

Club provides:
A ride
A crashpad (to sit on instead of the snow)
A broom

You should bring:
Climbing shoes big enough to wear socks under
Warm clothes to climb/hang out in
Boots appropriate for walking 1/8 of a mile through very deep snow
Gloves for climbing?
A snow shovel?

I don’t plan to go to the gear room myself, so if you need shoes, you should plan to go sometime this week, or, since we’ll be using socks, you are free to use some Evolv’s that fit my size 10 feet with lots of room to spare.
