100 Miles of Pure Asscheek Pain (Adv. Road Biking)

OVERVIEW

Hello sHrEdLinGS,

Would any of you like to embark on a *memorable* way to start the spring semester? Well, look no further! Bryson and I have just the thing for you. We are going to bike the capital trail in a day. This trail runs 50 miles each way from Richmond to Williamsburg/Jamestown.

Here’s the schedule:
Meet at the shrack 5:30 to pack bikes and all that
Leave by 6 to get to the start of the trail by 7.
Bike 5 ish hours to Williamsburg and have lunch
Bike 5ish hours back to Richmond and drive home and get home around 6 or 7.

Some key notes: if anyone cannot finish the ride, we will make sure someone stays with them and come back to pick them up once the rest of us get back to Richmond and reunite with le automobile. The group size is based on no one being left to have to ride or sit along the trail alone, regardless of events that might happen on the ride.

We reserve the right to make judgement calls about who is able to join this trip, if we make a call that you really don’t fw, we are more than happy to talk about it and maybe change our minds! This is just because the whole thing goes a lot more smoothly if everyone is confident they can finish this in a reasonable time.

You should bring:
Road bike (preferably w racks)
Clothes that won’t chafe
Helmet
Bike light
Food with high energy density
Water

We will bring:
Bike repair kit
Bikes with racks to maybe put your things on if you don’t have a rack on yours
