Corner Of Echols Dorm
Also Corner of Echols Dorm
Mount Pleasant Special Management Area, Amherst, VA, USA
Hey everyone!
I have found a nice (pleasant, if you will) hike for this Sunday! Mount Pleasant via Henry Lanum Trail is a 5.9 mile loop in the national forest with the opportunity of seeing two overlooks.
IMPORTANT!! – DRIVERS ARE NEEDED!! – I would like to have another car in addition to mine go on this trip, so please sign up if you have a car and are willing to drive! You will get priority off of the waitlist!
We will be leaving from the Echols dorm at 9:30am and we should get back to uva at around 4:00pm. It is about an hour and 20-minute drive to the trailhead from UVA. Please message me if you have any questions or concerns (757-778-7796).
WEATHER:
It looks like temperatures will range from 36-54 degrees Fahrenheit at the trailhead on Sunday (so probably in the 50s when we are hiking) – I suggest packing a jacket for when we stop and to consider wearing long sleeves and pants. THERE MAY BE A CHANCE OF RAIN!! – Please consider this when packing!
