a sunrise not at bearfence, blackrock or humpback!!!

OVERVIEW

i led a trip here for the first time last week and discovered that it is a quick, easy hike a short drive away and it leads to great views AKA perfect for a sunrise (or so i hope). turk mountain is a 2.5 mile out and back, read more here: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/virginia/turk-mountain-trail

the plan:
5:05 AM meet in castle culdesac
6:00 AM trailhead
6:45 AM arrive at peak to appreciate the sky
6:58 AM estimated sunrise time on suntoday.org
7:30ish drive back to cville
8:30 AM grounds sweet grounds

to bring:
– layers!!!
– water
– breakfast, snacks, and/or warm beverages
– SNP pass (or $5)
– 1 good song suggestion

DRIVERS & PASSHOLDERS get priority off the waitlist. drivers will be reimbursed + a 50% tip. SNP pass needed for each car (i have 1).
