This trip is meant for those with climbing/caving/canyoneering experience who are interested in workshopping more advanced anchor systems. Abby & I are happy to refresh the basic anchor-building fundamentals, go over our typical methods, and work through different anchor scenarios you may be interested in learning about! This is mostly inspired by Moab approaching and wanting to ensure that those who know they want to go climbing or canyoneering (& in particular be a SAFE LEADER!!!!) can have some more confidence in their anchor-building skills.

Timeline:
1 pm meet up/pick people up and drive to Ravens Roost
1:45 work those anchors!!
2:45 yay we’re so smart and knowledgeable on anchors
3:30 back in cville
(I am open to going to other places if people have any suggestions, Ravens Roost is just nice bc there’s both a tree and some good rock features)

Bring:
Yourself
Whatever you need to be sustained for a few hours
Any gear you may be interested in using for anchors

We will bring some anchor building materials including static ropes, slings, accessory cord, lockers, (trad pieces if there’s interest??), etc
