OVERVIEW

Shred dogs in and around C’ville this summer come on out to the George Washington National Forest this Saturday and hit one of, if not the best trails in Virginia (#1 in Va, #7 in the USA according to MTB Project). This is an intermediate/difficult trail and is 13.3 miles, so only sign up if you have mountain biking experience and are in decent shape. The ride features “easy climbs” (…right), fast downhill, technical rocky sections, and some sick views. I’ve got a car+rack that should be able to fit 3 people plus bikes, so the trip is capped at 3, but can expand if there is another driver and enough interest.

When:
Saturday June 18th, 2016 from 8am to about 1pm (drive is 1hr 15 min both ways, also dependent on how long it takes to ride, MTBProject says average is just over 2 hrs for the full loop).

Where:
Wild Oak Trailhead/Lookout Mountain Loop in GW National Forest
We will meet at Echols at 7.45AM and leave by 8AM
