After-Work Kayak Sesh at Walnut Creek Park

OVERVIEW

Come hang out with me this Wednesday evening at Walnut Creek Park to do some yakin’! No experience necessary – we’ll be chilling by the lake with the whitewater kayaks, doing some exploration and general-hangout activities. Instruction optional if you’d like to learn any whitewater skills or work on your roll.

Feel free to bring frolf discs, running shoes, and/or a picnic dinner! The park has an excellent frolf course, trails, and a pavilion. Might even throw up a slack line while we’re there. Weather predicts a chance of thunderstorms throughout the afternoon, so come prepared for adventure.

I can take 5 boats and 5 people, unless I get more drivers, then I can do 7 boats and >5 people. Walnut Creek Park charges $3 for entrance during the summer, but they likely won’t be charging that late in the afternoon. (bring $3 in cash anyway)

YOU BRING:
Bathing suit, water shoes if you have them, towel, rain-jacket, change of clothes, picnic dinner, miscellaneous fun items

SCHEDULE:
We’ll meet as close to 5:15pm as we can and try to leave from Echols at 5:30. We’ll hang out for a bit and leave before sunset. The park is roughly ~20 minutes away so you’ll be home before 9:15pm
