Afternoon hike at Lower White Oak Falls via Whiteoak Canyon Trail!

OVERVIEW

We happen to not have class on Wednesday so what better thing to do than go on a Wednesday hike!? Join us to appreciate nature with the approach of spring. Lower White Oak Falls via Whiteoak Canyon Trail is a 3-mile beginner level hike. This trail is known to have muddy trails so make sure you have good shoes/boots. Drivers are needed and will be given priority off the waitlist; if you get to Echols with a full tank gas is reimbursed + a 50% tip up to 20$. If there are more drivers, I will open up the spots.
The plan:
– Meet at 2:30 pm
– Arrive at trail head by 3:45 pm
– Hike to the river and arrive by 4:30 pm
– Hangout for about an hour
– Get back to the car by 6:15 pm
– Arrive back to Charlottesville by 7:30
What to bring:
– Hiking shoes/boots
– Water
– Food
– Layers (It’s going to be as low as high 40’s)
– And backpack to fit everything in
