Another Bear Fence Adventure

OVERVIEW

It wouldn’t feel like ~back to school~ without a classic Bear Fence sunrise! Bear Fence is my favorite and probably most frequented place to watch the sunrise because it’s not too far away, it’s an easy peasy hike with a fun lil scramble at the top, and it has arguably some of the best views in Shenandoah. It will be well worth that early Saturday AM alarm, AND you’ll still have plenty of time to sleep/darty all day before the game (go hoos)!

5:20 AM Meet at Echols
5:25 AM Drive ~1 hour to trailhead
6:25 AM Start hikin’
6:55 AM Here comes the sun doo doo doo doo
7:30 AM Back at our cars
8:30 AM Back at dear ole UVA

Pls bring:
-Headlamp
-Water (1L)
-Layers in case it’s chilly/windy
-Breakfast/something to munch on
-Sturdy hiking shoes
-A willingness to be awake at 5 AM on a Saturday

DRIVERS WILL BE PRIORITIZED! The club will reimburse for gas and get you that good 50% tip! 🙂
