Apple Picking and Pumpkins

OVERVIEW

It’s apple season! Carter’s Mountain is a local orchard where you can either pick your own or buy a bushel. Right now Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Jonagold, Stayman, Granny Smith, Fuji, Braeburn, York, and Winesap are now available for picking, and they also have AMAZING apple cider, fresh apple pies, cookies, ice cream, and Famous Apple Cider Donuts!

Come take a trip Sunday afternoon to grab some fresh apples and pick up a last minute pumpkin for Halloween. I also hear there’s a 2 mile trail around the orchard, so bring hiking shoes if you want to poke around.

What the Club Provides: seat in a car (it’s only about ten minutes away, so gas will not be paid by the club, but it’ll be only about $2 per person)

What you Bring: $2 cash for gas; Visa or Mastercard, or if you’re bringing cash I suggest about $15 so you can buy a couple pounds of different delicious apples or pumpkins!; camera (there’s an observation deck where you can see all of Charlottesville)
