April Blair’s Day #21

OVERVIEW

alright alright alright. cole mountain is an easy hike that will only take ~30 min & opens up to a mountaintop field that makes you want to sing “the hills are alive” at the top of your lungs.

i know i should be planning a night out on the town with a sign around my neck of 21 drunken shenanigans i need to accomplish at trin & boylan, but ringing in my bday on a mountain is much more style. if you don’t hate me by the end of this trip description, come & celebrate with a late night hike & sunrise morning on good ole april fool’s day!

SUNDAY
– 9:30 PM leave echols
– 11:00 PM arrive at trailhead
– 11:30 PM set up camp
– 12 AM celebrate my life (vegan dessert for midnight snack???)
– star gaze & snooze

MONDAY
– wake up at whatever time floats your boat before the sun rises
– 7 AM sunrise
– 7:10 AM book it down the mountain
– 7:30 AM drive back to cville
– 9:00 AM make it back just in time for 9:30 AM classes

TO BRING:
– sturdy shoes
– layers
– 2L water
– headlamp (please check one out from gear room if you don’t have one)
– tent (we will arrange these)
– sleeping bag
– whatever overnight ish you need
– snacks/food
– best april fools pranks you’ve done/seen/heard
– bring class stuff if you’re stressed about getting to your 9:30 AM

BONUS to those who:
– capture a good picture of me for my obligatory ~twenty-fun~ picture on insta
– succeed in a good april fools day prank that is NOT targeted at me
– bring balloons
– bring a dog (that will get along with charlie & jamie’s dear evie)
– bring me kombucha for my alcohol of choice
