Hello fellow outdoor enjoyers,
what’s poppin.
There are some nice mountain biking trails in Azalea Park, a park a little past Fry’s spring but close enough to grounds. I’ll be going there this Wednesday in the morning to do a couple loops, and then bike back on the rivanna trail for a bit. I think the trails in Azalea park are doable for a beginner so I will advertise it as that. However, there are some downhill sections so keep that in mind. I think this route should take us no longer than an hour and a half.
NOTE: it will be cold overnight so there is a possibility of the trail freezing overnight and thawing before we ride, making it unrideable. We probably won’t know until we start riding. In this event we would have to turn back or bike somewhere else.
The plan:
– 8:00 am: meet at shred shack and grab bikes
– 9:30 am: return to shred shack
