Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Shenandoah National Park
Let’s get weird in the woods
Laurel Prong and Hazeltop loop in the SNP, about 8 miles that isn’t too strenuous, but still enough to enjoy. Leave around 9 on Saturday morning, come back by 5 (at the latest) Sunday.
You provide:
-yourself
-Water (probably about 3 liters. We’ll have access to streams, so we can filter some water out to replenish the bottles/bladders)
-money for food. We’ll cook breakfast and dinner (let me know if you have any allergies), but bring snacky snacks that you want
-good shoes (if you have boots definitely bring them, there will be stream crossings)
-clothes
-stories so we can all yuck it up at the campsite
-deep luv for mama nature
Club provides:
-gas money
-gear
There will be gear rooms before the trip, so stop by and grab:
-a backpack
-sleeping bag
-sleeping pad
-headlamp
I’ll get the tents and cookware, as well as provide rides. We’ll only have two cars, so prepare to get comfy with each other.
The weather looks like it’ll be pretty nice (around 60 both days), but it will get chilly at night so bring enough layers to stay warm.
here’s a bunch of photos to get you pumped (ignore the rando dude, although he is quite a man):
