Basking with da Brookies!!!!!!

OVERVIEW

Spring fly fishing is upon us and we are so stoked to explore the beautiful Shenandoah creeks around us. Don’t be intimidated, this is a beginner trip and no experience casting is necessary. We are going to the sugar hollow area to do some hiking (¾ ish miles) to a good spot where we will start fly fishing. The hike isn’t very difficult but it does have some vertical. Should be glorious spring weather to…bask with the brookies (brook trout are native to this area) We’ll be going over all the basics. We will probably end up going to different spots throughout the day but we will play it by ear.

Stuff to bring:
Shoes that can get wet
Backpack
Water bottle
snacks/lunch
sunglasses!
Virginia freshwater license. (Don’t get the full year license, just the 5 resident 5-day freshwater license)

Loose schedule is to leave at 9, get there around 945, start walkin in and hang out and do some fishing. We can be back by 3, maybe earlier if people are feeling that or later if the fishing is great and we want to stay all day. Drivers get preference and gas reimbursed 🙂
