BEACHHH!!!!! (End of semester backpacking at False Cape!) 🥥🌴🌺🌅🌊

OVERVIEW

Hello friends.
The time has come, the time is now to return to…BEACH⛱️
after 8 long cold, gray months of yearning for the salty ocean and sunshine. Evelyn and I have at long last reunited to return to the land of…BEACH⛱️. After we crush our first week of finals we will triumphantly escape the doom of finals and we will book it to FALSE CAPE STATE PARK!!! (aka the coolest place on earth)⛱️.
This will be a beginner level trip as we plan to hike roughly 7 ~flat~ miles to our campsite and arrive at…BEACH⛱️. Join us and frolic amongst dolphins and end your semester with a bang…or should we say… with BEACH⛱️.
THE PLAN:
Wednesday, May 7th
-Meet at Echols @9:30
-Drive to BEACH⛱️ and eat lunch in car
-1:30-4:00 partake in beautifully flat BEACH⛱️ wander
-4:00ish set up camp, watch sunset, eat dinner, swim?, stargaze, tell stories, go to sleep with dreams of BEACH⛱️
Thursday, May 8th
-Photosynthesize on BEACH⛱️ and soak up all the sun, communal dinner! (info in question below!)
Friday, May 9th
-5:30 wake up for sunrise on BEACH⛱️
-Pack up camp and be on our merry way
-Hike back on BEACH⛱️ (maybe stop to swim on the way?)
-8:00 arrive back at car & eat breakfast while en route back
-Zoom back to c’ville (within speed limit)
-12:00 arrive back on Grounds with a nice tan and salty vibes from BEACH⛱️
Packing list
-backpacking backpack
-sleeping pad and bag (lows will be in the 60s)
-enough food for ~2 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 1 dinner
-sunscreen and bug spray
-swim suit and beach towel
-water bottle (there is a potable water spigot so no need for a filter!)
-any toiletries you may need!
-salty vibes (the most necessary one!)
