Bear Hang Workshop

OVERVIEW

Bears are real…right? I’m pretty sure they are. Anyway, when we go backpacking, we must protect the bears from our food and smellables so they don’t get habituated. One of the ways to do this is a bear hang. There’s the PCT bear hang, the critter hang, the two-tree bear hang, and even the bearritto. We’ll talk through and experiment with all these techniques, but ultimately, you will walk away with practice and confidence in a basic bear hang to use in these east coast woods. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NEEDED.
