Have you been thinking about trying out climbing at Slaughter but you’re afraid you’ll look like you don’t know what you’re doing? Well you’re in luck!
Slaughter Rec Center has a small bouldering gym that is FREE for students and is a great place to go from 0 to climbing if you are and absolute beginner. The plan is that we all meet at the gym and after people watch the safety video I give a short little lesson on how to get started and then we all give it a shot. As we go I can help anyone if they want more tips. The only thing you all need to bring is good workout clothes and socks (the gym has free climbing shoe rentals). Also I recomend clipping your nails before you climb to have the comfiest experiecne.
