This trip is open for 5.8 and higher climbers.
Saturday: 40% chance of rain so we will either be at Rico Suave (5.7, 5.10, 5.11) or Summersville Lake. If the group is more advanced, we will head to Toxic Hueco (5.11), Summersville (5.10), or Upper Meadow (5.10+).
I will go over how to clean anchors and lead climb/belay (more advanced climbers).
Sunday will be Bubba City – Sandstonia (5.6, 5.7s, 5.8s). I will go over lead climb/belay for beginners who are interested (recommend climbing 5.9).
Bottom line, if it does rain on Saturday, there will be a limited number of climbs to get on for the beginners. There will be plenty of climbs to get on for Sunday for everyone. I will be happy to offer advice on climbing technique and training.
Trip Requirements: Know how to tie in and top rope belay. Able to climb 5.8 on top rope.
You provide: Plenty of water, personal climbing gear you own, money, backpack, weather appropriate clothes, towel, toiletries, headlamp, first aid kit, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, approach shoes, sandals, camera, and good karma.
Club Provides: Ga$ money for drivers or ride in a car, any camping/climbing gear you do not own and exciting outdoor adventure. Club will pay for your lodging, food, and gas!
You are responsible for arranging gear room and checking out any personal climbing (shoes, harness, ATC, chalk) and camping gear (sleeping bag, pad, tent).
Trip is dependent on weather. Drivers and lead climbers/belayers get priority. Please do not sign up for this trip if you can not attend the entire trip. Email me with any questions.
