OVERVIEW

I know many of you have been waiting for a beginner climbing trip outdoors. Here’s your chance. Saturday will be rainy so we will go to a rainy crag (Rico Suave). The weather on Sunday should be beautiful and we will hit up a beginner crag. Saturday will be 5.10 and up. Sunday will be 5.6/5.7 and up. You might also get to climb some cool cracks.

We will drive to WV Sat morning. We will stay at Ray’s with hot showers. You need to bring money for two dinners (no cooking in the rain). Lunches and breakfast will be provided.

I will be teaching those who are interested in learning to lead, clean the anchors, and rapel.

Trip Requirements: Know how to tie in and belay a top rope. Able to climb 5.8 on top rope. Remember, it will be 5.10 and up on Saturday if it’s raining.

You provide: Plenty of water, personal climbing gear you own, money, backpack, warm clothes (chilly in the mountains), towel, toiletries, headlamp, first aid kit, tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, approach shoes, sandals, camera, and good karma.

Club Provides: Ga$ money for drivers or ride in a car, any camping/climbing gear you do not own, camping, food, and exciting outdoor adventure.

Drivers and lead climbers/belayers get priority. Please do not sign up for this trip if you can not attend the entire trip.
