OVERVIEW

Okay folks, finally some promising weather for Saturday!

The Plan:

Head up to the NRG friday night, camp at Ray’s.
Hit Sandstonia on Saturday for beginner/intermediate climbing.

*Then a car of people who don’t own their own paddling gear/have no desire to paddle, can head on home, or camp that night if they please. If you are of intermediate/advance skill and want to join Behren’s trip can go for that option too. His trip is not suitable for beginners unless you just want to watch.

Why: Pretty much, i can’t lead a paddling trip and Dave Clark will be using most of the club boats, so there will only be climbing on Saturday and those who don’t have their own paddling gear/paddling skills can head home Saturday night or sunday morning (i will provide food if you want to camp saturday night).

If you do end up paddling Sunday with us, then hiking will be happening monday morning and coming home for dinner.

What the club provides:

Harness, belay device, shoes
ropes and other sport gear
Tent, sleeping bag, pad, headlamp
Cookware, Breakfast Saturday and Sunday, some sort of crag lunch, and then Saturday night will be some sort of dinner, hopefully over the fire?
Camping fee, gas

What you provide:

-Any gear you have from the list above
-extra snacks for the crag
-warm clothes for camping (mid 40s)
-athletic clothes for the day— yoga pants are good as well as long shorts/pants. Bring tennis shoes for the approach and comfy shoes for the crag.
-backpack with at least a 2 liter water carrying capacity

Let me know if there are questions!
