OVERVIEW

Welcome to 2018, where both the US government and the month of January decide to stop working. Lets take advantage of the stagnant warmth and get out onto the trails!

Still haven’t tried anything new and exciting this year? Fortune is on your side. I’ll be taking a few people up to Ohill this weekend, on the same trails that cradled my frail, first-year self and showed me that mountain biking is the best way to find your flow. If you’ve never been mountain biking before, no worries! There can be some tricky technical parts, but I’ll try to take it easy and help any newbies power their way through any initial discomfort. We’ll ride for 2 hours or so, or until people want to stop.

We’ll be departing from the Shred Shack (116 Washington Ave), and will be powering up the road on our own two wheels to get to the trailhead. This might be the most difficult part for many, so be sure you are in relatively decent shape if you sign up for this trip. I personally feel that crushing the hill is the perfect warmup, but others may hate me for making this a requirement. So be it.

The club has a fleet of mountain bikes for those who don’t have their own, but in order to see if we can match people to properly-fitting, functional steeds, I’ll be waitlisting everyone who signs up. First people who sign up will get priority.

WHAT TO BRING:
– Water (1-2 liters)
– Bike (club provides)
– Helmet (club provides them if needed)
– Eggo Waffles, or comparable snack
– Dry sarcasm
