Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Let’s go kayaking Friday!
The weather forecast for Friday 4-26 is expected to be 70 degrees and sunny.
Mild and Wild – Lower and Upper Maury!
I’d like to run all the way to the post office/swinging bridge. We’ll be warmed up and for those feeling confident enough can run the upper section, which should be at a nice 1st time level.
Everyone must have taken an intro course from Dave Clark or someone else and you must have a flat water roll to attend this trip. We will be working on combat rolls!
Also need at least 1 driver – preferably with a roof rack!
The air and water are not exceptionally warm so please dress appropriately. You should bring: Your boat, essential gear, booties if you have them, swimwear, towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, water, snacks, money for possible food/beverages after the trip.
Everyone gets wait listed until I screen your skills.
I am NOT “leading” on this adventure, I am only coordinating some logistics and transportation to the adventure destination, you are responsible for your own safety and the activities you choose to participate in while on this trip, and you agree to have read and will abide by the American Whitewater Safety Code http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/Wiki/safety:start?
*Please note this trip may be canceled due to water level, weather, or lack of attendance.
I put 10:30 am- 6 pm for now.
The Club Provides: Boats, skirts, helmets/nose plugs, paddles, pfds, wetsuits, splashtops, boat, transportation, gas money.
