What a great weekend to paddle! We just got dumped on with rain and the forecast calls for temps in the 80s. I’m not sure where we’ll go yet, depends on water levels. Richmond needs to drop a few feet to be safe, Balcony falls might be good, by Sunday the Maury might be too low…we’ll see. Where ever we go there will be rapids challenging enough for an intermediate, but safe enough for a beginner. By beginner I mean someone who has prior, but limited, white water experience. Do NOT sign up unless you have paddled in at least class 2 rapids.
The Club Provides: Gear, gas $$, transportation
You should bring: swim wear, foot wear that can get wet, water, snacks, pack a lunch, $$ for food after, towel, sunscreen, change of clothes…courage man, courage
