Beginner Mountain Biking at Preddy Creek

OVERVIEW

**No mountain biking experience necessary, but you should be able to comfortably ride a bike on flat pavement**

Come learn the basics of mountain biking with some relaxed laps at Preddy Creek Trail Park. Preddy has the smoothest groomed trails in the area and is the perfect location for your first mountain biking experience. I am a “professional” mountain bike coach and can take you from the bumbling noob you are to the competent fearless shredder you want to be.

12:00PM – load up bikes and depart from Shred Shack (116 Washington Ave)
12:30PM – arrive at Preddy Creek Trail Park
20-30 mins of basic skills in the field
1-1.5 hours of trail cruising, with plenty of breaks
3:00PM Leave Preddy
3:30PM Arrive home, unload bikes

YOU NEED:
Mountain Bike – Club can provide
Helmet – Club can provide
Sturdy Shoes – Skate shoes are best, boots are good, sneakers are ok too. A stiff, thick sole is what you want.
Athletic clothes – It will be hot
Gloves (optional) – helps maintain grip when your hands get sweaty and protect them if you fall. I’ll have a couple pairs to lend out
Sunglasses (optional) – helps keep crap out of your eyes. I’m a big fan of clear safety glasses from the hardware store
Water – one bottle is fine, there is a faucet at the park
Snacks

Disclaimer: Mountain biking carries some inherent risk. You will probably fall at least once today, and that’s ok – bumps and bruises are part of the deal. Your trip leader is WFA-certified will be well-equipped and happy to help anyone in need. If you’re lucky, you might even get to see me wipe out 🙂

**DRIVERS NEEDED!! Trip will be limited to 3 until more drivers become available. Gas Reimbursement plus 50 percent tip!
