OVERVIEW

Because I had to cancel my trip during the summer, I am giving this another shot.

Three Ridges is a beautiful loop that is about 15 miles long with some breathtaking views. It has some nice climbs and a long descent. More information can be found at https://www.hikingupward.com/GWNF/ThreeRidges/

** The Plan **
Meet at 9am and drive out to the trail head. From there we will hike ~7 miles and camp near Campbell Creek Shelter which is just off the AT. This should give us plenty of time for lunch, stops, smelling the roses, and cooking dinner.

The next morning we will wake up early (probably around sunrise) and hike another ~7 miles back to the car. We should finish sometime after lunch

This trip is great for beginners! I can help with all campsite activities, packing, and the loop is not terribly challenging.

Sorry for the formatting, the website doesn’t support tabs or spacing 🙁

Anything with a * next to it is available for checkout through the club. I can set up a gear room in the future so that we can get the gear beforehand.
I do ask that if you plan to checkout gear to shoot me (or the officers if you are going early) an email just so that we have an idea of who is going to be there and
what will be needed

** What I will bring **
– Water filter
– Stove and Gas for cooking
– Something to boil water in
– Rope for a bear hang

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!!
