This is going to be a great hike. After about a two hour drive, it’s about nine miles total with an amazing view from the top of the mountain. The hike starts off slowly with lots and lots of switchbacks. Once we’re about 2/3 of the way up, however, the hike becomes incredibly fun as it becomes a rock scramble. For those of you who don’t know what that means, it means lots and lots of boulders to climb on as we progress up the mountain. Some people have described it as lots of 5-10 foot really easy climbs which makes it fun.
I’ve set this adventure to waitlist only because I don’t have a car and thus the first person or people selected will have to be drivers who will be reimbursed for the gas. From there I will select people by who signed up first for each spot we have. The Cost of this trip is 5.00 dollars to hike the mountain, but it is definitely worth it.
Keep in mind we will be hiking to the top of a mountain so you will need probably about 2 liters of water as well as some warm clothes for the top. You’ll also wanna bring a lunch so we can eat it atop the mountain.
In terms of what to wear, wear hiking boots if you have any. Also, shorts and a t-shirt should be fine, but as I said before, it will get cold and windy at the top. Also, bring rain gear, like a poncho, rain coat, or even just a plastic bag in case it rains. There really aren’t many places to take shelter around the top for long periods of time as well as running back to the car is not an option unless you run track.
