Big Hawk Friday

OVERVIEW

Apparently its a big couple weeks for hawks. I feel like I need a little more wildlife viewing in my life and luckily rockfish gap on top of Afton mountain is a prime spot to see some predatory birds this time of year.

There’s a wide variety of other potential birds to be seen from eagles to ospreys to kestrels. Not that I really know what a kestrel is.
Also can’t promise we’ll see anything I havent communicated the time with the birds.

Plan.
Meet up at slaughter around 830.
Get to viewing point around 9
Look for hawks for however long we feel, im guessing about an hour or so
Get back around 1030

What to bring
Im bringing some snacks cause why not
Same with water
Binoculars if you have them. I inexplicably found a pair of binoculars among my possessions so ill have one pair.
