Big Meadows Stargazing

OVERVIEW

Join us (Annabelle and Ella) as we gaze into the heavens at one of the greatest stargazing spots around, Big Meadows! The plan is to find a nice spot somewhere along the trail (the whole loop is 2.4 miles but we may not hike the whole thing), get nice and cozy, make some hot chocolate and enjoy the view. We will chill under the stars for about 2 hours, then head back to cville.

Schedule:
7:00 – Leave Echols
8:15 – Arrive at Big Meadows
10:15 – Head back to Charlottesville
11:30– Back at Echols

what to bring:
-Lots of layers! It will be very chilly
-Sleeping bag or blanket if you want to be extra cozy
-Sleeping pad or something to sit on if you wish
-Water
-Hot cocoa vessel
-Headlamp

What we will bring: The hot chocolate 🙂
