Blackrock Triple S (Summit, Sunset, Stargaze)

OVERVIEW

let’s go to Blackrock summit for sunset/star gazing! it’s an hour drive to the trailhead and a ~super quick~ hike to the summit (half a mile). once we get to the beautiful summit with 360 degree views, we will do a little scrambling to the rocky top and set up to watch the sunset. I plan to stay after the sunset as well to take advantage of the lack of pollution and star gaze! planning to leave at 5:30, get there at 6:30, hike to the top, and start heading back to the parking lot around 8:30. this puts us back on grounds around 9:30 so don’t worry- you can still go out for the night or get a good wholesome night’s sleep (whichever floats your boat). ps ~ I will be bringing pumpkin muffins or some sort of homemade fall baked good so maybe this will entice you to sign up.

what to bring:
-hiking shoes
-headlamp (important)
-blanket for star gazing?
-dinner / snacks
-water!
