Blackrock’ll knock your socks off! (Sunset Hike!)

OVERVIEW

Folks,

I’m gonna be honest with you guys (not that I normally lie in my trip descriptions), I crave a sunset more than I crave water in a desert and I know I’m not the only one. So here’s the deal, I’ll handle the logistics and you guys can just come along for the ride with me to see that big ball of fire in the sky that apparently feeds plants (I’m in an Ecology class) duck behind the horizon in its dramatic, diurnal fashion!

To sum it up, let’s do some lit (by the sun), summitting at Blackrock Summit!

The Hike (I hear it’s easy peasy):

Plan A:
– 5:30: meet at echols -be there or be a plane figure with four equal straight sides and four right angles
-5:35: drive to trailhead (1 hr ish)
-6:40: lazy stroll up this short hike
-7:06: that big ball of fire thing i was talking about earlier
-7:30 ish: head back to hooville
-8:45 ish: Home sweet home

Plan B:
-there is no Plan B

Stuff to bring:
– $5 or park pass for entry into Shenandoah National Park
– snacko
– h2o
– flashlight/headlamp
– extra warm layer
– sturdy shoes
