Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
The Forest Bouldering Area
Come join me in bouldering the forestiest forest in the charlottesville vicinity (~45 mins away). We’ll head out around 10 Sunday morning, boulder until it hurts to exist, and return mid afternoon (probs around 3 or 4, but this is flexible)
“The Forest” is a large bouldering area spread out along a stretch of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and offers a concentration of boulders in a range of grades.
WARNING: Bouldering outside is H A R D. Even if you boulder V3 or V4 in a gym, you will struggle on most V0s/V1s outdoors. While this trip technically does not require a certain skill level, you will not have much fun unless you can boulder at least V3 (or 5.10-) in a gym.
That being said, the forest offers boulder problems ranging from V0 to V9 and everything in between, so whether you’re just getting good or have been gnarly since ‘nam, there is something for you to work.

-2L Water (it will be H0T)
-I’ll have 2 pads, but feel free to bring another if ya got one
