Bouldering Outside at the Forest

OVERVIEW

Looking to boulder with some lovely lads and lasses to test our outdoor grades. Or if you’re already an avid outdoor boulderer, then you can grace us with your expertise. This is a first for me, and I’m fully expecting to get humbled, but very interested to see how the climbing compares to indoors. I’ve heard the footholds are cheeks, and that emphasizing good technique will go a long way so keep that in mind.

The plan is to check out the forest on the blue ridge parkway, which has problems in all grade ranges, so anybody is welcome on this trip! Looks like there’s some pretty solid routes out there too. We can be pretty loose with the time we leave and get back, as I don’t want to limit anybody’s Saturday plans. I’ll be bringing crash pads, however I can only fit two in my car with three other people. If anybody is willing to drive that would be huge, and we could bring more people, and more people is cool and fun and nice.
