come climb rocks with us this sunday! rawley springs is a swaggy crag in an beautiful old civil war quarry next to a beautiful creek !
seriously this place is super big and super cool and no one knows about it and you will love it!
this is a trip for all skill levels and there are tons of climbs ranging from very very easy to very very hard, so no matter your experience level it will be a great time!
the plan:
8am: we gather in front of the student activities building (in the scott stadium parking lot along alderman road) and leave once we have everyone
9:30ish: arrive at rawley sprints
9:50ish: get to rocks and start climbing
whenever we want to: finish climbing and head home
5pm is probably later than we will get back, unless people want to stop for food on the way home
you bring:
– food (snacks / lunch) + plenty of water
– climbing shoes (you can rent these from the gear room)
– chalk (optional, we will bring chalk)
– comfortable shoes you don’t mind getting muddy
– crash pads if you have them
we bring:
– crash pads
– chalk for those who dont have chalk
– cars
– insider knowledge of the area
