CANCELED – it was a nice try but mother nature has won yet again

last time i led a sunrise trip to spy rock it was a spooky friday the 13th and we saw 360 degree views of clouds & haze so i’m looking for redemption on this one (hence why were pushing it back a week bc tomorrows forecast is cloudy as heck)

same deal for the rest.

the mission:
-4:45 AM: Meet at Echols (promptly please)
-6:15 AM: Arrive at Spy Rock parking
-7:18 AM: SUNRISE (1.6 miles hike to the top – at a brisk pace)
-by 10:00 AM: Arrive back at Echols (you can make it back for 10AMs)

it’s a moderate ~3 mile hike with a lil rock scramble at the top

BRING:
-headlamp (you are responsible for getting this on your own from the gear room or just bring a flashlight)
-layered clothing
-comfy shoes
-2L+ of water
-breakfast to eat at the top
-artsy photo skills
-muscial instruments and/or quality stories & jams
