*Cancelled* Birthday Shenanigans – Hawksbill Sunrise

OVERVIEW

*Due to skyline drive still being closed, this trip must be cancelled*

Monday is easily one of the most important days of the entire year… my birthday. Please, try to contain your excitement and your desire to spoil me with gifts. I have been dying to hike Hawksbill and the last time the parkway was still closed, so join me for a relaxing Hawksbill experience.

The Upper Hawksbill trail is a little less than a mile and is not bad at all. It probably wont take us as long as I have planned for, but I like to take my time.

Activities may include but are not limited to: hiking, snacking, shenanigans, erecting a shrine in my honor, telling bad jokes, etc.

The Plan:

-4:40 am Depart from the Student Activities Building Parking Lot
-6:00 am Get to the trailhead
-6:40 am Arrive at the summit and watch the sunrise
~7:40 am Return to trailhead at
~9:00 am Return to Charlottesville

Bring:
-warm clothes, it is supposed to be pretty nice but you will still
need lots of layers
-headlamp
-water
-hiking shoes
-snacks

DRIVERS NEEDED!
-Drivers need to show up to SAB with a full tank of gas!
-Drivers get priority off the waitlist. The club reimburses for gas
+50% tip!
