Canoe N’ Clean on the Rivanna

OVERVIEW

Take a break from finals! Spend part of your reading day on the local Rivanna river!

We’ll put in at Darden Towe Park, then float all the way down to the take-out in Milton. This section is mainly flat water, with a few class I-IIs. No canoing experience is necessary. I’ll bring some plastic bags for trash collection. The boat that collects the most garbage will receive a VERY AWESOME prize. 🙂

The club will have to rent some canoes from Outdoor Rec, so it is very important that, if for any reason you can’t make it, you withdraw by the deadline. I don’t want to end up paying for a canoe that doesn’t get used. I can only fit one canoe on my car, so drivers who sign up should be willing to carry a canoe (foam blocks will be provided.) Get pumped to canoe n’ clean!
