Casual Wednesday Afternevening Wintergreen Climb Sesh

OVERVIEW

Come touch granite with me and Colin Wednesday afternoon. Wintergreen is a nice little trad crag about an hour from cville with some great top-rope opportunities. IMO you get one of the best views in Virginia here when you get above the trees. Depending on group vibes, there are some easy cruisers, some moderate cracks, and some high 5.10-5.11 facey mixed routes with good anchors for top-rope. Don’t expect to get crazy volume but everyone should definitely be able to knock out a few climbs and have a good time.
Colin and I are by no means qualified to teach people how to trad climb but we will have the rack and people are welcome to try mock leading (on top-rope) if interested, just keep in mind that you are learning with us and not from us.

Bring:
Climbing shoes
Harness
Belay device if you have one
Chalk
Water
Snacks (separate from chalk)
Headlamp

Sched:
3:30pm – meet at echols
4:30pm – arrive at the wint, embark on short hike to crag
4:45pm – climb
when the sun hangs low in the sky – begin walk back to car
8ish – drive back to cville
We will probably be back at like 9-9:30pm
