Cedar Run to Hawksbill to White Oak Loop!

OVERVIEW

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well, because, Sharks, I have to pitch you something. This gem of a trail is going to be an endurance challenge, but the reward is more than worth it: You get the beautiful, peaceful water along Cedar Run(With swimming holes and a natural water slide, though they will be brrr cold), the majestic Hawksbill summit(One of the most iconic in the park), and finish off with the awesomely majestic White Oak Falls. Each of these are, imo, must-dos in Shenandoah, especially as Spring comes in and the nice weather is weathering all over the place. Best of all, we’re starting from the bottom, meaning you’ll get that sense at the top like, “Yeah, I climbed that mountain. Take that, mountain”. This is a strenuous trail, coming in at 12.8 mi with 3,487 feet of elevation gain. I know this is earlier than ideal, but it’s because the parking lot can get busy, and so we can make it back reasonably early for a shenanigan-filled Saturday night(or-weeping-at-our-blistered-feet-sessions). It may be in the 50’s at the bottom, with mid-40’s at the top, so I would wear light pants/shorts based on your propensity to be warm/cold, but you’ll be fine either way. What to Bring:
-Water…a lot though I’ll bring extra, but ideally 64-96 oz at least
-Swim Attire/Towel if desired
-Snacks(Maybe a couple)
-Hiking shoes(For this sorta hike I would def recommend hiking shoes/boots if you can swing it)
