Chill Slaughter Climb Time

OVERVIEW

Hey y’all,

Rock climbing has always been a way for me to de-stress and take my mind off of the things bothering me, so Ben and I felt like a group trip to Slaughter after classes on Wednesday would be nice. There are no set plans here, just an opportunity to come together and monkey around with friends after a particularly difficult weekend. If climbing and chatting sounds like it may be an enjoyable way to spend your Wednesday evening, we invite you to join us!

All skill levels are welcome. Ben and I will be there to provide help/beta to anyone who wants it, but this is not a formal bouldering basics trip like the ones we’ve run in the past.

Any climbing gear you may want/need will be available for you at Slaughter, but if you have your own shoes and/or chalk, you’re more than welcome to bring them.

The plan is to meet at the couches in the Slaughter climbing gym at 6pm and then hang out and climb for however long we like (likely between an hour and an hour and a half). Once again, this is a flexible trip that we want to fit everyone’s desires/needs.

*As a note, it seems like Slaughter is closed Tuesday. We don’t think it will be closed on Wednesday, but if it is, we will be going to Rocky Top instead of flat out canceling the trip. If this happens, the trip will be $15 per person because of Rocky Top’s day pass prices, and we’ll also need drivers (so anyone with a car will get priority off the waitlist). We will send updates if Slaughter ends up being closed.*
