Class V White Water Rafting

OVERVIEW

Rafting on the Upper Gauley river, location of the 2001 World Class Championships. You need to be comfortable swimming because flipping is likely. On Sat. we’ll be watching people do base jumps off a bridge over the new river, camping that night and rafting on sunday.

Outdoors at UVa provides:

Rafting fee and equipment, dinner on Sat. and breakfast and lunch on Sunday, camping fee and gear if you need it, gas money and seat in the car if you need one.

You must bring:

Lunch on Sat (food or money), wet suit or $13 to rent there, appropriate clothing, river shoes, non cotton clothing such as fleece, bathing suit, there are showers there but you need to bring shampoo etc. AFTER YOU SIGN UP READ THE EMAIL BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO PAY THE RAFTING COMPANY DIRECTLY IN ORDER TO GO!
