Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
New River Gorge
Welcome to another weekend of gorgeous fall weather! We’ll leave Sat morning from Charlottesville, climb the rest of the day, cook out that night, climb Sunday and return home for Halloween festivities.
We’ll likely go to two different crags, and most likely hit up Summersville Lake one day. Expect climbs from 5.9 – 5.13 on sport. You should be comfortable on 5.10 on top rope to join this adventure. If you can lead, lead belay, or drive you get priority off the waitlist.
Update: We’ll head down on Fri night and be back for Sat Halloween parties!!

There will be minimal teaching on this trip, but if you’re interested in learning something in particular, I’d be happy to teach you anything in the sport climbing realm.
All food provided will be vegetarian and super yummy. Please be sure to bring your own snacks, dinner money for Fri/Sat, liquids, and a plate/bowl/utensil/cup to slurp it all down.
It’s fall, and the mountains are always cooler than the city, so dress appropriately. Better too many layers than too few.
Club provides: ga$ reimbursement to drivers, camp fees, FOOD (breakfast/lunch Sat)
What to bring: warm synthetic/wool layers, esp for at night, gloves/hat, snacks, 2+L water, climb and camp gear, plate/bowl/utensil/cup, headlamp, camera, first aid, money for food on the road
