Climbing at Reeds Creek (LGBTQIA+ affinity trip)

OVERVIEW

Melun and I got to go to Reeds Creek last week and had so much fun we want to go again! There are lots of climbs from 5.7-5.11 so everyone will be able to climb. This is an intermediate trip and you should be comfortable with belaying and climbing on top rope.

Who: any and all LGBTQIA+ people who want to climb! This is a trip that is explicitly safe and welcoming for trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people. All LGBTQIA+ identities welcome.

Plan is to leave Echols at 7am, drive the 2 hours to reeds creek then climb for the day and be out of the crag before dark (5pm). We should be back in Charlottesville before 8.

You bring:
– climbing gear (harness, belay device, helmet, shoes)
– Layers
– Lunch, snacks and water

Note: this is an affinity trip, so please do not sign up for this trip if you do not identify as LGBTQIA+.
