climbing at the best crag in Virginia (intermediate)

OVERVIEW

I want to go to buzzard rocks. you also want to go to buzzard rocks. you want to sign up for this trip.

this is an intermediate climbing trip! buzzard rocks is mostly sport, so you should be comfortable lead climbing and belaying at a minimum, and ideally you should know how to clean routes as well. There are trad routes here that I want to get on, so if you’re interested in learning more about trad climbing then you should definitely sign up because this is a great place for it. or if you just wanna top rope feel free to sign up, but i will be prioritizing the intermediate sport climbers and anyone who can clean/set routes and lead belay.

the approach is a little over one mile, and the drive is around two hours, so we’ll leave early to get as much climbing as possible before the sun sets at 3pm. There’s also an amazing burger spot on the drive home that I would like to try to stop at, it’s called Spelunkers.

– harness
– helmet
– shoes (climbing shoes and shoes to hike in with)
– chalk
– water
– belay device
– sunscreen
– stoke
