OVERVIEW

Greetings, earthlings!

Finally, a full month into the semester, the clouds appear to be parting to allow for a sweet, sweet weekend of sport climbing at our beloved New River Gorge. This area is one of the premier sport climbing destinations in the East, offering literally thousands of sport climbs of all levels for our enjoyment.

ITINERARY
We’ll head out at the unholy hour of 5:00 AM on Saturday morning and arrive in charming Fayetteville, WV around 8:30 AM, where we will commence climbing at the crag of our choice. We can climb somewhere all day or sample several areas – the choice shall be ours. Eventually we’ll grow weary of touching rocks and retreat to the American Alpine Club’s luxurious campsite nearby to bask in the glow of a hard day’s physical exertion and stuff our faces with whichever forms of nourishment we have brought. The next morning (Sunday), we’ll hit the wall once more, wrapping up around 3-4 PM in order to return to the comfort of our homes around 8 PM.
