Climbing at the New/Summersville

OVERVIEW

(If you’re already signed up for the rafting trip for this weekend and want to climb, you don’t need to sign up on this also!).
We’ll get in some awesome climbing up at either the New River Gorge or nearby Summersville (little over 3 hours from C’Ville in good ole WV). We’ll be doing sport routes that people can toprope after they’re set up. We’ll decide where we climb just based on who’s going and what we want to do. The climbing is great, but there aren’t many beginner routes. To sign up, you must know how to belay and have experience climbing! If you’re not sure if you should sign up or not, just email me. We’ll head out Friday, camp out, and start climbing early.
We’ll be camping/climbing with the people on the rafting trip, but we’ll be heading back to Charlottesville on Saturday evening after climbing. They’ll be camping at Songer to raft on Sunday.

Please bring: camping/climbing gear if you have it, warm clothes! it will be cool at night, rain jacket, lunch and snacks for Saturday

Club provides: dinner Friday night, breakfast and dinner Saturday night, camping fees, gas, camping/climbing gear if you need it.
