Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
New River Gorge
Want to try climbing, or know how and want to get out– LEt’s go!
Weather is looking great thus far!
So, I would like to meet at echols (gear room) at 930 on FRIDAY MORNING, and then head up for a 2/3 day of climbing.
Those who are work (ha!), can come up separately on friday evening or Saturday am depending on cars.
I will be teaching anything that needs to be taught from belaying, to basic climbing technique, to rappelling, lead climbing/belaying if appropriate, etc.
I don’t have a clue as to crags yet, but am definitely going to bring the rack to climb some crack one of the days if possible.
What the clubs has to offer:
All possible climbing gear
tents, sleeping bags, pads, headlamps
first aid kit (I am WFA certified)
Stoves, fuel (BUT NOT FOOD)
What you need to bring:
– Any climbing, camping gear you own that is listed above
-Money for food– we will probs go out Saturday night, so bring food for all the breakfasts and lunches and friday dinner
-Clothing for pretty warm day temps and cool, but not cold night temps
-rain gear in case?
– clipped nails and good karma
Please don’t hesitate to email me with any questions!
