Rise Up Climbing Gym
Hello all,
Rise Up is a new, awesome climbing gym in Lynchburg VA. It has excellent bouldering and good climbing routes too, which are as high as nearly everything at Peak Experiences in Richmond (only the very back wall at Peak is higher). You must know how to use a gri-gri to belay there, but otherwise, you should be fine bouldering or rope climbing at Rise Up. The gym is about 1 hour away (it’s a slightly closer drive than to peak).
If we have 5 people or more, Dan, the gym owner, has offered us a price of $9 per person.
I still need to talk to officers about gear, so that situation is pending…
Also, if more drivers sign up, i’ll increase the # of available spots. We’ll meet at Echols dorm at 5:30pm, as usual.
