OVERVIEW

The best remedy for a potentially injured ankle is to walk it off, right? Keep hiking, yeah? Sweet, I’m in.

So there is a debate on the actual name of this hike – Cole Mtn vs Cold Mtn (#hottake) but I’ll leave it up to you to decide – whatever feels right. It’s ~5.8 miles with 1,490 ft of elevation gain, and it has some sweet meadow views. If that sounds like the perfect way to spend your Sunday (hint: it is), your moment is now. Sign up. Come hang. Game Plan:
-Drag ourselves out of bed after wild ODC party shenanigans
-Leave the ODC House (116 Washington Ave – it’s by Scott Stadium and Fry’s Spring Station) at 9:30 AM
-Drive ~1 hr 30 to the trailhead
-Walk in the woods for a few hours
-Say our goodbyes, pile in cars, & return to Cville
-Get some grub? Milkshakes me thinks?
-Procrastinate on homework even more (not a part of the trip – that’s on your own time)

-lunch & snackies
-rain jacket (welcome to VA)
