Echols Dorm: Brick Wall By Side Door
Lets hike Cold Mountain!
I have been to Cold Mountain twice before and it is one of the most beautiful hikes that I have done in the George Washington National Forest. In addition to an unreal final destination, this hike boasts gorgeous views and lookout points. The total hike is gauged at 5.8 miles which should take a little more then 3 hours, so you should bring lunch and a solid supply of water (2 bottles or more). If you have had a stressful week of exams and are eager to get out in the woods, you do not want to miss out on this hike.
It looks like it may be a little nippy Sunday with a current high of 48, so I would recommend layering up.
I will be driving so I currently have to limit the trip to 5 people until some kind outdoorsman or woman with a car signs up. I am planning to meet at 8AM Sunday morning, which I know seems a wee bit early, but no better way to cure that hangover then 4.5 miles of uphill hiking.
If you would like further information about the hike I posted a link below.
